The second major Spring Gala held over the weekend of 8th to 10th March 2019 to be featured here is the East Lancashire Railway's event. There were some "new" and some visiting locos, the most interesting of which was probably the "Caledonian Tank" from Bo'ness, making its first preservation-era tour away from its native Scotland. Here we see no 419 arriving at Rawtenstall in a snow flurry on the Sunday. The Railway was also showcasing its newly-restored Standard Class 4 tank no 80097 which is seen departing Ramsbottom on a train which was being banked by sister locomotive no 80080, visiting from Butterley following an overhaul. subjectively, the gala didn't seem to be particularly well attended, probably because of the foul weather!
