On Tuesday 4th June 2019 Steam Dreams ran the first of a series of "short" railtours which are scheduled to run weekly until September. In the morning a one-way train runs steam-hauled from London Waterloo to Windsor & Eton Riverside the return being ECS and hauled by a diesel: passengers have to make their own way back. The train repeats at lunchtime and in the afternoon, giving three runs to Windsor. Then at just before 7.30 in the evening, it embarks on a variation of the familiar "Surrey Circular" tour normally the province of the VSOE Pullmans. The variation is that this train too leaves from Waterloo and we see the first of these at Byfleet & New Haw station as it runs just behind a slow main line train although the signals cleared as it ran through the station. The return is in darkness without any stop after Chertsey.
