Editors Notes:
The final leg of the second day of 2018's "Great Britain XI" tour saw the train being headed from Carlisle (whence 35018 had taken it from York) by the pair of Carnforth-based "Jubilees" nos. 45690/9 "Leander" and "Galatea". Here we see the train about to pass over the Scottish Border at Gretna around about 17.30. It was scheduled to stop at Lockerbie for water but a last-minute change of plan revised this to Beattock Summit so most followers were caught out and failed to see the train storm up Beattock. Our team eventually got ahead of it by Abington and filmed the train shortly thereafter.
