Since Saturday 23rd February's "Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express" unfortunately had to be diesel powered today we bring you the previous Saturday's "Cotswold Venturer" which was headed by John Cameron's much-admired Gresley "Streak" or class A4 Pacific no 60009 "Union of South Africa" throughout. We see it exiting the very low tunnel at. Kemble, going like the wind on the outward trip, and then approaching a crowded bridge at Evesham at a rather more sedate pace. The loco, soon to retire for good, performed immaculately, as always.
