For the four Sundays in February 2018 the Tanfield Railway ran various freight trains in addition to its normal passenger service. On the last of these, 25th February, the extra train was a mixed train consisting of four wagons and a passenger brake van headed by Hawthorne Leslie & Co. 0-4-0ST works no. 2859 which was supplied to the Keighley Corporation Gas Department as their loco no. 2. We see this 1911-built machine ascending the fierce climb near the famous Causey Arch bridge and then passing over the Bobgins level crossing (no, it's not pronounced like the falling-down water, it's a hard "g").
