Editors Notes:

One of the hidden gems of preservation is the standard gauge line at Beamish in County Durham. Hidden because it is seldom featured due to the unique character all the other attractions at the famous museum, the station features a wonderful goods yard and the beautiful Waggon Works as well as the actual running line which, although short, has much character. Here it receives its full due during one of the Great North Steam Fair days in Spring 2018.
