In a last minute change, the services from Tuesday 29 to Thursday 31 March will all be worked by steam locomotives, with LMS ‘4F’ locomotives No 44422 working a three-coach train on the 11.05 from Bishops Lydeard and the 15.25 from Minehead.

This will be in place of the diesel railcar service at these times. In addition Somerset & Dorset ‘7F’ locomotives Nos 53808 and 53809 will also be in action working full length trains with buffet facilities. No 53809 will start the day on the 10.15 from Minehead and No 53808 on the 10.25 from Bishops Lydeard.

Three weeks after the Somerset & Dorset themed gala three locos which once worked on the S&D (No 44422 spent time based at Templecombe) will once again feature on the WSR.
