The Peppercorn 4-6-2 engine will run from March 3-11 (except March 9th) and offer services up and down the NYMR line from Grosmont to Pickering station.

New-build Tornado has been impressing steam enthusiasts since it was built back in 2008, and even hit the 100mph mark earlier this year when it undertook test runs in connection with raising its permitted maximum speed.

Tornado Services will depart at 9:30, 12:40 & 15:40 from Grosmont Station on 3rd & 4th and 10th & 11th March. There will only be two services running at 9:30 and 12:40 on 6th, 7th and 8th March.

Tickets can now be bought for NYMR's opening event. For more information, visit
