Better connections for Mid-Norfolk diesel gala

East Midlands Trains services to call at Wymondham on 1/2 April for gala

The Mid-Norfolk Railway and East Midlands Trains have announced that additional trains to Wymondham on 1 and 2 April to improve connections for the railway’s diesel gala.

The extra trains are scheduled to stop additionally at Wymondham on Friday are:

07.52 Nottingham-Norwich
08.35 Nottingham-Norwich
06.47 Liverpool Lime Stret-Norwich
18.57 Norwich-Nottingham

On Saturday, the following will stop additionally:
07.45 Nottingham-Norwich
08.34 Nottingham-Norwich
06.49 Liverpool Lime Street-Norwich
18.57 Norwich-Nottingham

These services supplement the normal hourly service operated by Abellio Greater Anglia between Norwich and Cambridge. The Network Rail station at Wymondham is about a 20-minute walk from the MNR station.

Amongst the scheduled attractions for the event are three Class 50s — Nos 50007/17/50 — as well as the prototype HST and Class 37 No 37905.
