Something a little different on the steam front comes from the USA where the North Shore Scenic Railroad hosted a steam charter featuring the Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range Railway (not Railroad) Alco Consolidation #332 on an ore train on 7th September 2017. It's seen leaving Duluth MN at Fitgers alongside Lake Superior with the Aerial Lift Bridge giving access to Duluth Harbour prominent in the background. It's then seen crossing the trestle of Little Sucker Bridge. The DM&IR was famous for its heavy ire ore traffic which was loaded onto se freighters at Duluth from massive ore docks and for its immensely powerful class M "Yellowstone" 2-8-8-4 articulated locomotives, the most powerful of all the 2-8-8-4s built. Three survive today as static exhibits.
