The Lynton and Barnstaple Railway's replica of the only Baldwin-built tank engine used on the "old" L&B "Lyn" made its first visit to another railway in mid-September 2018 when it was the star of the Welsh Highland Railway's "Superpower" weekend. Here we see it at Caernarfon station (the new one wasn't quite ready for use) on Friday 14th September at 16.00 as it gets ready to undertake it's longest-yet run, from here to Waunfawr with a one-hour break at Dinas for its admirers to admire it. This was its first public run and it had the Ffestiniog's "Taliesin" at the rear so these two could work a number of trains that day in "Top 'n Tail" mode. The second shot shows the L&B engine working hard up-grade away from Dinas on its second run at about 19.10.
