Editors Notes:
The very first Rebuilt Bulleid Pacific, no 35018 "British India Line" - better known as "BIL" - has been painstakingly brought back to operational condition at Carnforth and on Saturday 30th September 2017 it was unleashed on its first revenue run in over half a century. The train was a special for the Lune Valley Trust and ran from Carnforth to York behind the big Bulleid. We see it shortly after its departure from Carnforth at Borwick, looking immaculate in a new coat of BR Brunswick Green livery, but somewhat obscured by an excessive amount of steam leaks. Sadly, by the time it reached York a problem resulted in its being failed for the return journey which was to have been in the company of the red "Jubilee", no 45699 "Galatea", the latter working the train home alone.
