The rather interesting name of the Dean Forest Railway's junction near Norchard is where the line splits to serve stations at Norchard at High and Low levels. Here we see the company's only currently-operational former main line locomotive, the GWR "Small Prairie" no. 5541 - coming down from the High Level station and Parkend with the last train of the day to Lydney Junction. It would return later as ECS to the Low Level station. The Railway has plans to extend its running line from Parkend to Cindeford which would double its present four-and-a-quarter mile length.
